(Photo by Paul Everett) National championship fever is spreading across the country. The world of prep cross country begins its ascent to the national finals. Many will seek individual honors at either the historic Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships or Nike Cross National Championships. Nike Cross Nationals will offer the Team National Championship.

Looking at Zack Sollie and Jeremy Gooden of Beauregard High School, one a cancer survivor, the other a Type 1 Diabetic each with their own story showing their teammates what it means to fight on and off the course.

While I try to get as many photos as possible, the reality is I am also a coach and tend to miss some races for one reason or another.....not to mention we're leaving after the first award ceremony this year.
